Excursions
Here you will find some excursions that can be done starting directly from Gosaldo or from San Martino di Castrozza, Alleghe, Passo Cereda, Passo Duran.

Domadore - Rif. Treviso via forcella d'Oltro
This hike is of medium difficulty and length, but requires experience, fitness, and sure-footedness. Be careful when climbing to the Oltro peak from the Gosaldo side, as the trail is very narrow in a couple of places.
For this trail, I chose to start from Domadore, as it saves a bit of elevation gain. You can also start from Sarasin or Gosaldo, taking the dirt road that starts immediately after the bridge over the Gosalda River. Go around the stone house on the left and follow the signs for Malga Cavallera. At Cavallera, continue for a short distance towards the Menegazzi bivouac, but after about 300-400 meters, turn left and continue towards the Forcella d'Oltro pass.
I planned the descent into Val Canali by extending the route towards the Treviso refuge, but it is possible to shorten it by cutting across the Troi dei Tedeschi path and arriving directly at Cant del Gal.
A hike of medium difficulty and length. The route ascends from the Frassenè parking lot toward the Scarpa refuge. Halfway along the trail, you'll find a water source where you can drink and refresh yourself.
There are no particular difficulties other than the difference in altitude and the constant climb.
Lunch at the refuge is recommended; the owners are really nice and the food is excellent.

Gosaldo - Cavallera refuge and return
An easy and not too strenuous hike. Turn right after the bridge over the Gosalda (after the pharmacy) onto the forest road, and then turn left behind the beautiful stone house. Continue uphill through the woods and follow the signs for the Cavallera refuge.
Great view from the mountain hut!
A hike of medium difficulty and length, with a steep climb of +800m. The ascent begins in the small hamlet of Pecol, above San Tomaso Agordino. You'll reach a beautiful mountain pasture with views of the mountains of Agordo and Alleghe.
The refuge serves meals and drinks, and has remained authentic and true.
